Expediency Council Appointed by: Supreme Leader (30) –Pres., Speaker of Majles, Chief Judge, Minister & Representative Term Length: Under Leader’s Discretion (5 Years) Powers and Responsibilities: –Resolves Majles-Guardian Council Disagreement –Interprets “Public Interest” and “Reasons of State”
