2  Sports journalist’s are known as sports fanatics.  They keep track of scores, stats, highlights, standings, trades, injuries etc.  They go to sporting events and interview players and coaches.  Most sports journalist’s come from a sports background.

3  Sports Journalist don’t use much equipment other than everyday technology.  They use microphones when on set or in a interview  Most used piece of equipment would be there cell phones and computers, for twitter and updates etc.

4  To qualify to be a sports journalist you must have your bachelors degree in journalism or a related major. You need to have experience such as news paper write ups. You must understand the sport you are reporting on such as hockey. You need to understand the rules and how the game is played.

5  Salaries vary in the company you work for and amount of years you’ve been in the industry. The starting salary for a first year reporter is between 30,000-50,000 a year. As they get more experience they can reach up to 90,000 dollars per year. If you become a professional such as a TSN or ESPN reporter you could make in the million dollar range!

6  Bob McKenzie is the top inside reporter for TSN that specializes in hockey.  Bob McKenzie is huge on twitter, he almost has 500,000 followers and has the most accurate and precise information that hockey fans want to hear.

7  Pierre McGuire is famous for his knowledge of hockey and his hilarious commentary.  He is one of the guys that stand between the benches at hockey games along with Ray Ferraro  Pierre McGuire use to have a contract with TSN and now he is with NBC.

8  You must have to have a great knowledge of the sport  Have a hilarious sense of humour  Very outgoing  Jay and Dan are a great example of these qualities shown in the following video
