President's Message As your new PYB President, my entire team will greatly strive to provide our Lakeridge families with a quality youth baseball organization. To achieve this, we intend to deliver ongoing communications to our PYB families, in an effort to keep them informed of details such as: registration periods, league rules, games, rankings, events, etc. We’ll be putting our organizational skills to work, as we attempt to deliver a very positive experience for our PYB parents, and our young baseball players. Delegation of responsibilities is a key to the success of this organization, which is 100% comprised of volunteers. While we’ll be rebuilding some credibility & confidence within our Pacer Youth Baseball community, we ask for your patience, as well as your assistance. There are plenty of opportunities to help our young players, and most tasks are small, but very necessary. We are one “Team”, whose focus is the development of our young players. So please join the team, and let's set our sights on making “community based” PYB a larger, and more competitive program, by retaining more families and players. Together, we can make PYB a place where our young players not only grow strong in baseball, but also realize a sense of pride within their own community. Thanks, in advance, for helping strengthen and grow our PYB organization! As an entire team, we’re laying the groundwork which will allow the greatest baseball experiences to happen for our young Pacers. I’m excited to be part of such a wonderful organization, and be surrounded by so many caring families!!!!! Sincerely, Brent Steinberg Pacer Youth Baseball President

PYB Divisions Bambino: (T-Ball - Rookies) T-Ball T-Ball – Introductory level for Pre-K & Kindergarten aged players. Players learn the fundamentals of baseball in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Batters hit off of a tee and rotate on the field on defense. The games are 6 vs 6, which speeds up the fun and keeps everyone interested! Expect 2 activities per week for about 60 minutes each. No score is kept. Sluggers Sluggers – The second level of play is recommended for 1st graders. Players are still learning fundamentals in a fun atmosphere, but now batters hit off of a coach pitching from one knee about 20 feet away. Each player will get 5 pitches to hit a fair ball. If no contact is made then they will hit off of a tee. Expect 2-3 activities per week for 60-75 minutes each. No score is kept. Rookies – The highest level of Bambinos is recommended for 2nd graders. The batters are now hitting off a pitching machine throwing the ball about 35-40mph from about 42 feet away. The batter will get 5 pitches to hit the ball, and if they do not, the batter is "out." Expect 2-3 activities per week for 60-75 minutes. No score is kept.

Cal Ripken: (Minors - Majors 70) Minors – This level is great for the development of the beginner and lower intermediate players getting used to the first few years of kid pitch, which is most 3rd - 4th graders. The bases are 60ft and the pitching mound is 46ft. The players are pitching. Expect 2-3 activities per week for 1.5-2 hours. Majors 60 (M60) – This level is for the intermediate players and is getting them prepared to go into the level of baseball that includes leadoffs. This is a 12U aged division, so it could range from 3rd - 6th grade depending on the size and skill level of the player. No leadoffs or dropped 3rd strikes. Majors 70 (M70) – This is the top 12U level in Cal Ripken. The bases are 70ft and the pitching mound it soft. Leadoffs are permitted as well as dropped 3rd strikes. This is for the most advanced 12U players with players being selected from 4th-6th grade. PYB Divisions
