Opportunities at a Glance 1- to 5-week sessions Multiple locations: – 11 in New York – 6 each in California and Massachusetts – 4 each in Virginia and Georgia – 2 each in D.C., Ohio, and Pennsylvania – 1 each in Alabama, Washington, Colorado, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Indiana, West Virginia, and Minnesota

Opportunities at a Glance Diverse topics: – Abolition and the Underground Railroad (3 weeks) – Charles Dickens (4 weeks) – Communism and American Life (5 weeks) – Roman Daily Life (3 weeks) – Transcontinental Railroad (6 days) – Benjamin Franklin (6 days) Stipends: from $1200 to $3900

Application Process (Deadline: March 1, 2016) Different programs require different application materials Most are highly competitive – Linda, Cassie and I all have given breakout sessions at UCTE conferences – We’ve all been affiliated with a Writing Project – We’ve all been published in the Utah Journal Most (all?) require a resume and essay Specifics on each program’s website
