9 9 Actions Review of Charter – Address DR process. (Mandel)Review of Charter – Address DR process. (Mandel) Remove Marine Surface Winds and SST from Polar Microwave Products contents. The marine surface winds were dropped because NWS was able to get the QuikScat winds which were of finer resolution and provided wind direction, as well as speed. The microwave polar product can only provide wind speed. The microwave SSTs were dropped because of resolution. NCEP/EMC/OMB provide marine surface winds, based on microwave. Both the SST and wind speeds can be found in OB6 under satellite, SSM/I Data. (Completed)Remove Marine Surface Winds and SST from Polar Microwave Products contents. (Completed) SREC agreed to submit a Request for Change to Accept TOR Product Changes into OB7.2, and push SPC Convective Outlook, GOES Low Cloud Base to OB8, and Polar Microwave Products (Soil moisture, soil wetness index and surface type data) to SREC weighting exercise for OB8. (Completed) Prepare OSIP Task for additional Polar Microwave Products for items pushed form OB7.2 and others. (Heil)Prepare OSIP Task for additional Polar Microwave Products for items pushed form OB7.2 and others. (Heil)
