WEBSITE Fusion Check up to see what's going on in class! You and your student can use it as a resource on days when your student is absent or to check in to your student’s grades and assignments. I update it frequently.

POLICIES & EXPECTATIONS My # 1 rule is RESPECT Effective Effort means more to me than right or wrong. I look for improvement. My homework grade is: Used as reinforcement Building or practicing of important skills Measure of how prepared students are for class. Will not be accepted late.

Grading: Points System Minus 5 points for missing homework. 10-60 point for quizzes, reading, and binder checks 100-150 points for Tests 200-300 points for projects or long term step assignments Materials: History binder (3-ring) History Alive Textbook Pencil/pen Assignment Book Highlighter/dry erase marker Colored pencils Flash drive Glue stick

Criteria For a Successful Middle School Scholar In order to help my student do their best work, My nightly or weekly schedule includes… Physically asking to see completed work Listen and give feedback to rehearsed presentations or written assignments. Encouraging appropriate study habits. Checking for a packed and organized book bag with all materials for the next day Checking homework station to help organization and to ensure it has all the essentials Discussions about current events, news stories, or just a simple check in!

TIPS FOR SUCCESS Check in with your child to see how they are doing, and to make sure they are completing all work My Fusion page is an excellent resource for this! Physically ask to see work Have your child read-aloud there work to you or practice presentations Work to develop study habits Make sure bag and materials are packed and ready to go each night. Create a homework station equipped with the essentials Concurrently read current events – hold discussions at home, in the car, etc.
