2. Your teacher may give you practice tests.

3. You will practice gridded responses.

4. 8 th grade social studies: 2 constructed response questions You will practice writing complete, concise answers.

5. Proctors You may be in a testing room which shares a proctor with other rooms. The proctor will be moving among the rooms throughout the test. Can your parent volunteer? Please check the school webpage for instructions.

6. Your classroom may now have learning aids on the walls. These will be taken down or covered during the test.

7. Misalignment Have a system to be sure that you are bubbling the answer on the correct number. (every 10 th question? after every page?) Your teacher may signal if they see you are off.

8. You can’t go back… Books will be clipped before moving to calculator active or if a lunch break is needed. You may not go back to the clipped sections.

9. No food or drinks.

10. No electronics are allowed. Leave at home or lock up in a hallway locker.

11. If it’s discovered that you have electronics… You will have to take the test over!

12. Only one student at a time is allowed to be released to the restroom, and a monitor must be present in the hall.

13. If you finish early, your teacher will whisper a few questions before collecting your materials.

14. Scrap paper must be turned in.

15. Bring novels and magazines to read when you finish your test. No textbooks!

16. After the test… … you won’t be able to talk to the teacher or other students about what was on the test.
