Target Audience and Learning Environment Target Audience: 3 rd grade English/Social Studies class Learning Environment: computer lab The 3 rd grade English class will be in a computer lab to go through this interactive PowerPoint presentation. Each student will work alone and at their own pace. The focus of the PowerPoint is learning about different countries. Each country the students explore will have a quiz at the end. After learning more about the three different countries, the students will be presented with final activity. This activity will be a journal topic. The students will pick one of the three countries and write about why it was their favorite and why they would want to visit that country.

7. Objectives 1. Without any help, students will be able to correctly identify different countries without error. 2. Without assistance, students will be able to correctly distinguish between and identify facts about different countries without error. 3. Given three different countries, students will be able to pick one and write a journal entry on the chosen country with at least seven sentences in the entry.
