Exercise Design "The Atlanta Story" for the exercise is... "The Atlanta Story" for the exercise is... –Two terrorist incidents on highways around Atlanta and one on I-20 near Newton. –Terrorist related and while there is no initial indication that this is the case, there are several hundred citizens who are poisoned and contaminated by these events. –The "accidents" that occurred involved tanker trucks and several automobiles. Fire and Police responded to the scene and some of them became contaminated rescuing individuals from the crashes. –Patients are transported to the nearest hospitals by EMS and some subsequently reported to other hospitals on a walk-in basis The numbers eventually overwhelmed the nearest Atlanta Metro Hospitals and additional injured had to be rerouted to mutual aid facilities. –Unique modeling of hospital specific conditions
