Adjective: modifies a noun or a pronoun – Modify means ‘to describe’ or ‘to make the meaning of a noun or a pronoun more specific’ – It tells: what kind, which one, how many, or how much – Most frequently used adjectives are called articles – Articles: a, an, the Ex: A storm that is approaching the coast is very dangerous.

Adjective or Pronoun Adjective: Modifies a noun or a pronoun – I have another shoe just like this one somewhere in my room. (Another modifies the noun shoe, This modifies the pronoun one) Pronoun: word used in place of one or more nouns or pronouns. – I have another just like this somewhere in my room. (The pronoun another takes the place of shoe, this takes the place of the pronoun one)

Adjective or Noun Adjective: modifies a noun or a pronoun. – Spaghetti sauce, high school teacher, American Indian business – Hurricane winds battered the coast. Noun: names a person, place, thing, or an idea. – Spaghetti, high school, American Indian – During the hurricane several houses were washed out to sea.
