Purpose and Mission of CERC Created to bring clinical and translational investigators together with community partners to: Shape and support innovative CER Provide organizational and financial support to build and sustain partnerships Improve health and health care through sustained academic-community partnerships Engage community partners through the clinical and translational research enterprise

Aims for Current Grant Cycle 2012-2017 AIM 1 Research Infrastructure To advance innovative community-engaged translational research. AIM 2 Researcher Training Grow the number of and support for academic researchers who conduct community engaged research AIM 3 Building Community Capacity To enhance capacity of community organizations collaborating partners in community-engaged translational research. AIM 4 Practice Based Research Networks To establishment of collaborative research networks in community clinical practices. AIM 5 Evaluation To measure and evaluate the impact of CERC on research infrastructure, research activity and community health.
