2 1 March 2008AdCom Santa Fe Conference Activities  2007 Hawaii NSS/MIC  Approximately 1800 registrants  Significant increase in participants from Pacific Rim area  No significant drop in attendance from other regions

3 1 March 2008AdCom Santa Fe Statistics  Record # of submitted abstracts: 1,506 from 40 countries –NSS: 853 –MIC: 653  Regional distribution of abstracts –N. America: 46% –Europe: 32% –Asia-Pacific: 21%  Record # of accepted presentations: 1,364 –NSS: 380 oral & 450 poster presentations –MIC: 134 oral & 400 poster presentations  # of registrants –as of 10/12/07: 1,490 –as of 10/28/07: 1,639 –as of 10/30/07: 1,761 –as of 10/31/07: 1,803 –Final: 1,750

4 1 March 2008AdCom Santa Fe Craig Woody, Treasurer 2007 “I'm still working on the final numbers, but it looks like we are going to have a return of about $250K from the Hawaii conference, which could be about 23%. So, let's see. We held the conference in Hawaii, which everyone enjoyed, we had a record turnout, we nearly doubled our Asian participation, the Europeans still came, and we made a quarter of a million dollars. What's wrong with this picture ? I'd say, nothing....”

5 1 March 2008AdCom Santa Fe Future Conference Activities (1)  NPSS will be a Technical Co-Sponsor of the 2008 Symposium on Radiation Measurements (SORMA) to be held in Berkeley in June  2008 Dresden NSS/MIC (Uwe Bratzler) Will be reported separately  2009 Orlando NSS/MIC (Dick Lanza) Full committee is in place Budget being worked on (new software) Exhibitors and poster management through AIP awaiting signature

6 1 March 2008AdCom Santa Fe Future Conference Activities (2)  2010 Knoxville NSS/MIC (Ron Keyser) 90% of committee in place Hotel contracts finished but not signed Knoxville Convention Center contract almost finalized  2011 and beyond Multiple US sites are under investigation. (Reno, Spokane, Albuquerque)  Albuquerque site visit after AdCom Proposal submitted by Spanish group for Madrid and Valencia  Site visit in May
