Describe department’s purpose Identify constituents Relate mission to division and institution As an innovative leader in the management of information and an integral partner committed to educational success, the CCC Library is a scholarly portal empowering a diverse learning centered community by providing access and guidance to a multi-dimensional collection of resources.

Broad statements (3-5) What is department trying to accomplish? What are functions? Each objective will have programs/services that support it

Form strategic, collaborative and cost-effective alignments for the purpose of planning and providing resources and services to different stakeholder groups. Participate in the college’s information literacy plan by 1. providing a library information literacy program that develops the skill sets necessary for student success and 2. collaborating with faculty as they develop discipline-specific information literacy components for their courses. Promote and assess the library’s programs and services to advance student learning, expand faculty collaboration, introduce innovative initiatives and maintain visibility. Create and maintain an accessible, multi-dimensional collection of resources that supports the college curriculum, promotes learning and furthers intellectual discourse.
