1 T100 device encryption rework SOP

2 If user calls in for this issue, please guide user get through page 3 to 5 to disable security boot. Please provide Liveupdate “functional Improvement” to user and guide them run this tool. Please help ensure user’s device “Device encryption” is disabled. If user walk in TSD. Please help guide user get through all the steps Besides, please help back up user’s data and update eMMC FW to 2.4. Run “functional Improvement” tool Enable device encryption.

3 Rework SOP Enter BIOS

4 Rework SOP disable security boot

5 Rework SOP Save, exit, and enter into OS

6 Rework SOP After into OS, you will see 2 different scenarios, 1.If device goes straight into OS -> please go to page 7 and follow the steps 2.If Bitlocker windows shows up (which means encryption finished) -> please go to page 8 and follow the steps

7 Rework SOP please help back up user’s data (this step could be skipped if 2.4.1 released) Update user’s device to Sandisk FW 2.4 and run “functional Improvement” tool Repeat page 3 to 5 steps to enable Security boot Enter OS Check if device encryption turn on On -> rework done Off -> please turn on device encryption for user

8 Rework SOP Please guide user Go to following link to get recovery key 2 nd device needed http://windows.microsoft.com/recoverykeyfaq/ Click option 2

9 Rework SOP click Bitlocker Recovery Key

10 Rework SOP Logoin windows ID and verification

11 Rework SOP Get recovery key

12 Rework SOP Input recovery key and continue

13 Rework SOP Unlock and enter OS And follow steps next pages

14 Rework SOP please help back up user’s data (this step could be skipped if 2.4.1 released) Update user’s device to Sandisk FW 2.4 and run “functional Improvement” tool Repeat page 3 to 5 steps to enable Security boot Enter OS Check if device encryption turn on On -> rework done Off -> please turn on device encryption for user

15 Rework SOP If you see situation like attached picture which means the unit is under decryption/encryption process. Please wait until device decryption/encryption finished. Please wait until process done and you will be able change the config again.

16 Rework SOP Or you could use command “manage-bde.exe –status” to check the decryption status
