The Iroquois were farming people. They ate corn,beans,and squash. Iroquois people did most of the hunting

Iroquois men wore breechcloths. Women often wore a tunic called an overdress.

The Iroquois tribes are original residents of what is now called New York state. Some Iroquois people still live in New York.

Iroquois hunters used bows and arrows to protect themselves. Other important tools are axes for wood working. They also fought with clubs.

Sometimes the Iroquois Indians did use elm-bark and dugout canoes for fishing trips. But usually preferred to travel by land.
