3  The Iroquois were farming people.  They ate corn,beans,and squash.  Iroquois people did most of the hunting

4  Iroquois men wore breechcloths.  Women often wore a tunic called an overdress.

5  The Iroquois tribes are original residents of what is now called New York state.  Some Iroquois people still live in New York.

6  Iroquois hunters used bows and arrows to protect themselves. Other important tools are axes for wood working.  They also fought with clubs.

7  Sometimes the Iroquois Indians did use elm-bark and dugout canoes for fishing trips.  But usually preferred to travel by land.
