3. Julia: 5/18/16 Hans Wenzel Geant4 Validation Repository weekly meeting3 1. Most of HARP data and all of the ITEP-771 data are in the DB, plus part of NA49 data from earlier try 2. Some "hiccups" (duplicates) found among HARP data 3. Some duplicate spectra are found among ITEP-771 data - issue goes back to bugs in the original ASCII tables (under test47), now fixed; records will be corrected 4. DbReader (direct access to DB commented out) has been tried, including JSONCPP library. However, JSONCPP build is not very convenient for our (HEP) typical environment. (uses scons to build). Not included in SL distribution Clear, comprehensive set of instructions is needed for build/installation. Overall, we need to converge on the external tools/libraries needed in validation, and how to install them. 5. Will it make sense to split DbReader into 3 pieces: -- get JSON string via access via Web service -- get JSON string via direct access to DB (if needed ?) -- parse JSON string and convert into a histogram (graph, set of arrays,...)
