Name of My Client: Mr. Heart ● Most important part of the circulatory system (sometimes called the cardiovascular system) ● Without the heart, blood wouldn’t go anywhere ● Amount of blood it pumps in 1 year = 30 competitive swimming pools filled

Systems working together... The heart works most closely with the respiratory system. The heart plays a big role in the urinary system as well.

How the heart works with the respiratory system... ● Delivers oxygen from lungs to all other organs. ● Delivers carbon dioxide from all other organs to the lungs.

Mr. Heart and the respiratory system: ● Heart pumps blood to lungs ● Blood picks up oxygen in the lungs ● Delivers oxygenated blood to other organs in the body and picks up carbon dioxide ● Blood drops off carbon dioxide to the lungs.
