In accordance with the Essential Academic Learning Requirements for Health and Fitness, the following information does apply. For the safety and comfort of your child in P.E., please have your child wear OR bring athletic shoes with a rubber sole, closed toe and full support around the heel. Flip flops, boots, open toed sandals, dress shoes, cleats, heelys, low across the top of the foot and shoes with a strap across the back are hazardous and therefore not permissible. As well, it is important that girls wearing any type of dress or skirt wear shorts underneath. Your child’s safety is a priority and we know you will help us, help them make safe shoe choices for PE in order to enjoy it to the best of their ability.

These shoes AREN’T made for running…

They’ll trip you up all day… “Heelys”: for obvious reasons are not allowed for PE classes.

Hope you get the message, then you won’t sit out from play!!! “Keds:” Some of the cutest shoes around…until the felt makes you slip and fall.
