Yeast vs Eubacteria

Frequency of reproductive cycle Yeast All its takes is for one parent cell to create a clone of their own, in each cycle there will only be one per parent at each time. Each reproduction will reproduce at a fast rate especially in warm conditions, it can also grow with or without aerobic. Eubacteria The frequency of each cycle happens rapidly. In some cases one every twenty minutes, that is over a billion in less than twelve hours.

Structure involved in reproduction Yeast A yeast cell starts to produce a bud of a new yeast cell. The nucleus then starts to stretch as the bud is still growing. Then, the yeast cell is too big for the original cell and splits off ending with two yeast cells. Then the cycle starts again. Eubacteria Bacteria reproduction is asexual because only one parent is needed to reproduce. There is no nucleus in the cell other than floating DNA in the cytoplasm. The bacteria is formed into two when it cuts off in the middle. The new bacteria is identical to its its parent.

Age of sexual maturity Yeast Since yeast is asexual, yeast starts to mature within a few seconds to reproduce populations. Eubacteria Just like yeast are asexual bacteria cells are matured to reproduce new cells every twenty minutes.

Length of the period offspring dependency Yeast Only a few seconds. It depends until the new cell budding is too big. Eubacteria They don’t depend much on their parent only as they are growing off their parent.

Life span Yeast Yeast usually does not die unless it dies reaches a certain temperature. The temperature it dies is 140 degrees. Bacteria Some kinds of bacteria die in certain temperatures. Others die if they are washed off, and some if they don't have a food source.

Mating behaviors Yeast Since yeast is reproduced as an asexual meaning it only has one parent, and it’s an identical copy of its single parent cell. Eubacteria Bacteria is asexual just like yeast. It only has one parent to reproduce a daughter.
