3 MICE VC 17-01-2013 Alain Blondel 3 (expected) Highlights of CM35 RAL 12-16 February TOWARDS STEPIV: -- SS1 ~fully trained at LBNL -- AFC working and measured in R9 -- magnetic field protection scheme well advanced -- use of plant room clarified -- questions regarding tracker shielding solved -- engineering solution for Flux return solution -- EMR complete, running on cosmics at UNIGE and preparing for shipping -- reconstruction, analysis and online software -- elog! TOWARDS PUBLICATIONS -- Emittance paper final -- PID paper final (requires KL reconstructioon included in MAUS) -- step IV apparatus paper started TOWARDS STEPVI -- test of Coupling Coil 1 underway and almost complete -- RF group progress (2MW?) 4 MICE VC 17-01-2013 Alain Blondel 4 2012  2013 We had many achievements in 2012! -- spectrometer solenoid reached full field -- LH2 system was tested -- focus coil arrived at RAL -- new DAQ, many progresses on software and analysis, understood e+e- time difference. -- realized potential issue with magnetic shielding and addressed it energetically -- and many more… -- produced a first integrated resource loaded schedule -- went through 2 project baords and Funding Agency committees Our work for 2013: By the end of 2013 we will have three magnets, magnetic shielding, 2 trackers and all other detectors, ready for assembly in the MICE hall. AND a good plan for the Coupling coils and step VI
