Parental Involvement as we know it…… Parents are much more involved today –Parental involvement encouraged and welcomed in the school system since day 1. –Weekly emails from the principal. –Parents have Edline now. Increase in parental involvement nationally, not just here at West Virginia University. Parents are making an investment.

Scenario #1 A parent calls in and says that the ex-spouse is getting all the WVU information and they want to get this information as well, and know what is going on at WVU.

Scenario #2 A mom thought that grades would be mailed home and needs to know how to see the grades and why she did not receive anything.

Scenario #3 A parent calls to complain that they have tried to contact one of their student’s professors, but no one will call them back.

Scenario #4 A dad calls to say that his student is not doing well in classes because he can’t study in the residence hall due to roommate problems.

Scenario #5 A mom calls in with questions. Her student has some sort of violation and now must meet with the office of Student Conduct. What does this mean?
