YHC Requirements for Inventory Control Provide accountability for any object; Provide the current location of each object, Shelf/Box; Provide item descriptions suitable for cataloging i.e. material type, historic relevance, location of picture, people, date; Provide a reference to collection/ownership; Provide item measurements; Provide an item condition assessment. i.e. Excellent, Good, Restricted; Provide item date of inventory; Provide archival quality item protection; Provide digital records of Inventory Control sheets

Not part of Inventory Digital Copies, except photos; –No digital copies of paper/personal records. i.e. news articles, transcripts, genealogy records, letters, legal documents; –No digitized copies of media, i.e. photo negatives, slides, audio tapes, video tapes, movies; –No digital records of artifacts; Providing catalog numbers Loading archival database, Past Perfect;

Items Inventoried Last Year –146 Boxes, 4000+ items Over 1000 items were duplicate > 25% Many single item containers Little photographic content Well documented. Most required little or no descriptive research
