2 Today’s Lesson Today you will learn about the growing sense of nationalism in the United States between 1815 and 1840. One of the factors that influenced—as well as reflected— this attitude was economic growth!

3 A lesson on Economic Growth With your Desk Partner Come up with a plan to open their your store. Discuss a plan, that includes (a)where you will get the money to start the business? (b) what you will sell, including the price range of their goods, and… (c) who their target customer will be?

4 What will you do with the money that customers pay you for your products? If most of your customers have steady jobs, will you likely make or lose money?

5 If your customers have easy access to unlimited funds, what may happen to your inventory of goods? If most of your customers do not have steady incomes, will you likely make or lose money?

6 In Conclusion… A nation’s economic growth is related to the amount of wealth it possesses. If the people in a country have steady incomes to purchase goods and services, the country will prosper. Businesses will grow, and the federal government will have revenue to improve the nation…
