How to start your company? A formula for a business in a few steps Polish recipe

Idea, research, plan. If you want to start your own company, first thing which you need is an idea. You should know if people need the service or the thing you want to deliver, so you also have to do some market research. It’s very important to have your business plan: Define your targets, How much money do you need? How much money do you want to earn? How are you going to advertise your product? Think about your strengths and weaknesses.

Customers and competitors Think about your customers. Who are they going to be? Define their age group, gender, education level and needs. Talk to people – ask them about their opinion. You also have to find out: Who are your biggest competitors in this market? What is the difference between you and your competitors? What are their weaknesses and how can you use them? Try to predict competitors’ next steps and fight for the customer.

The company name and logo Create your company’s logo. Logo should be attractive, eye-catching, clear and it should show selling points of your product well. Company’s name has to be easy to remember, short, ear-catching and somehow reflect main activities of your company.

Advertising your company Think about the media to be used and your audience. The internet, Local newspapers, Leaflets, Means of transport, Conferences e.g. Erasmus+ meetings

Register your company Have your company’s estate (office, address etc.) Register at your commune to obtain business ID number (called REGON in Poland) Have your company’s stamp, Open your company’s bank account, Register the company at the tax office to obtain a VAT ID number (Called NIP in Poland) Register at National Occupational Safety and Health Administration for necessary social security charges Start your work Good luck
