1. Healing the Bleeding Woman
Mark 5:21-34

2. Mark 5:21 Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea. 22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet 23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” 24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him. 25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” 31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” 32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

3. It was crowded …
Jesus was on His way to raise the 12-year old daughter of Jairus from death
There was a woman who was sick for 12 years, with bleeding that wouldn’t stop
The woman had spent all her money on doctors
She suffered many things from the doctors who tried to heal her
Her condition had not improved, but got worse
She heard that Jesus was coming!
She thought, if she could just touch His clothes, she would be healed (great faith)
She didn’t want to dirty Jesus by touching Him, just wanted to touch His garment
As soon as she touched His garment, she was healed
Jesus noticed that power had went out from Him to heal
Jesus asked “Who touched Me?”
The woman was scared, but admitted what had happened
Jesus spoke to her gently, calling her “Daughter”

Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.

6. Normally, Jesus would touch people to heal them
Remember to Always go to Our Lord Jesus, the True Physician, our True Healer, the Help of those who have no helper, the Hope of those who have no hope, the Comfort of the faint-hearted, the Harbor of those in the storm.
Normally, Jesus would touch people to heal them
This wonderful woman was the only one mentioned in the Bible, to touch Jesus in order to be healed
Why did she touch Jesus’ garment?
Why did she not ask Jesus to touch her?
Why was she afraid when Jesus asked who had touched Him?
Notice how the woman had suffered for over 4380 days
Notice how she had spent all her money on doctors
Notice how all those doctors had failed to heal her
Notice how all those doctors actually made her suffer more
What is impossible for people, ever for the best doctors …
What is impossible for people, is possible (is easy, a piece of cake) for God!
“All souls that are distressed or bound, grant them mercy, O Lord. Grant them rest, grant them refreshment, grant them grace, grant them help. Grant them salvation, grant them forgiveness of their sins and their iniquities. As for us, O Lord, the maladies of our souls do heal. And those of our bodies too, O Lord do cure, you the true physician of our souls and our bodies, the bishop of all flesh, visit us with your salvation.”

7. Practice TRUSTING Jesus, that He will SOLVE our problems
Jesus is able to solve any problem
No problem is too big for Our Lord
Jesus loves us
Jesus loves to solve our problems
We need to trust Him
We need to leave our problems at His Feet
We are God’s children
When we pray, we say “Our Father”
See how the Lord calls the woman “Daughter”
We have to FEEL that we are His children, whom He loves
If you feel Stressed, Worried, Anxious, you can
Make a list of what is bothering or worrying you
Pray to the Lord
Put that list inside your Bible or Agbeya
Tell Him that you are leaving things in His Hands
Rest assured, He is ABLE & WILLING to take GOOD CARE of you!
KNOW that God has solutions to any & all our problems!

8. Always go to Our Lord Jesus, the True Physician, our True Healer, the Help of those who have no helper, the Hope of those who have no hope, the Comfort of the faint-hearted, the Harbor of those in the storm.

9. The Gentile NATIONS bleeding for 12 years

10. The Gentile NATIONS Healed
This woman represents the Gentile NATIONS
The nations have been bleeding for 12 years (12 years here represents the entire Old Testament era)
They have suffered many things at the hands of the so-called physicians (gentile religions)
They had spent all they had (on heathen religions & strange philosophies), but were not getting better, and were getting worse
Finally, the Gentile NATIONS heard about Jesus
They were too ashamed to ask for healing
They were content to just touch the edge of His garment
They had faith, that even this touch would heal them
BTW, they touched Saint Paul, the edge of Jesus’ garment
Just this touch, combined with their FAITH, gave them HEALING
Like the blessed woman, the faithful nations hear the compassionate words of our loving savior saying
Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction. (Mark 5:34)

11. The Jewish NATION dead after 12 years
Mark 5:35-43

12. The Jewish NATION Raised
The young girl represents the Jewish NATION
The Jews had been alive for 12 years (throughout the Old Testament era)
In the beginning, they had been ALIVE as Abraham had FAITH & WORKS
At the end of the Old Testament, they were about to die, just like the girl
Because they began to depend on WORKS without FAITH, they died
Because of their reliance on the LETTER of the LAW (blindly following laws, customs; without paying attention to the SPIRIT of the LAW), they died
But there is HOPE
The same SAVIOUR who came to save the WORLD (the bleeding NATIONS)
This same SAVIOUR also came to give LIFE to the Jewish NATION
To raise the daughter of Jairus, Jesus brings with Him 3 disciples
Peter (represents solid FAITH)
James (represents WORKS)
John (represnts LOVE)
Like Jesus calls the Gentiles, “Daughter”, The Lord Jesus calls the Jews, “Talitha cumi” …
“Little girl, I say to you, arise.” (Mark 5:41)

13. Our Loving SAVIOUR saves ALL
Gentile NATIONS
Bleeding for 12 years
And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
Jewish NATION
Dead after 12 years
He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha, cumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.”
