Your children are quite the runners. I was impressed with their perseverance in pushing themselves to keep going when they were tired and hot.​ If you have not already sent in your Fund Run envelope, please do so, as soon as, possible. This week, your child had the opportunity to get their hands on their student Chromebooks. They have been asking non-stop to work on them since learning they had arrived in the building! I am happy to report that we had our first successful session. Students were assigned their own device and taught our procedures for taking them out of the locker, as well as, putting them back in. They learned how to power them up and log in properly. Students then had a short time to explore the Internet (under their restricted student options) and find some sites using these key words density, math factors, 4 types of sentences, Scotch Elementary, Math Fact games, etc. They really enjoyed using them and are looking forward to getting logged back in. I am just about finished with our reading assessments on each of your children. The information that I learn from administering these tests allows me to best focus my instruction to meet each of their needs. We will begin forming guided reading groups and bringing volunteers in to support all of the students. I will be in contact with those who expressed an interest shortly. As always, thank you for sharing your children with me. We spend each day learning new concepts, skills and laughing together as a strong community of friends.
