Fleetwood Mac First album – Fleetwood Mac was a very blues influenced album In their early years they recorded many songs at Chess Records in Chicago Not much success prior to 1975.

Fleetwood Mac British/American Band formed in 1967 Only original member of the band still with it is Mick Fleetwood Started as a blues oriented band in the late 60’s.

Fleetwood Mac Success came with addition of Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham to the group. First album with this group sold 5 million copies in the U.S. and went to #1 Followed up with Rumours which was an even bigger hit. Won Grammy for “Album of the Year” Sold 19 million copies in the U.S.

Fleetwood Mac Members of the band had successful solo projects during this time. This line-up disbanded in 1987; however some version of the band continued and still performs to this day.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young American folk-rock super group composed of David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Neil Young. Known for intricate vocal harmonies. All four members have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young David Crosby was a member of the 60’s group, The Byrds. Stills and Nash had also been part of groups that disbanded Realized that they had a good vocal chemistry; created a new group Signed with Atlantic Records.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Because of their experiences with previous groups, they decided to use their last names as the name of the group so that it couldn’t go on without one of them. Released their first album in 1969. Added Neil Young that year and went on tour.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young From 1970 – 1974 they didn’t do much together due to personality conflicts. 1974 they put aside their differences and did a stadium tour. Recorded a few more songs together, but never consistently. Did some touring and recording in the 1980’s

Grateful Dead American rock band formed in 1965 in San Francisco Known for unique style which fused elements of rock, folk, bluegrass, blues, reggae, country, jazz and psychedelic rock. Fans of the group would often follow the band from performance to performance – known as Deadheads

Grateful Dead Began their career as the Warlocks. First show under the new name was in December 1965 The name was supposedly taken from a dictionary entry referring to a ghost of a dead person who is thankful to someone who is living for arranging their burial.

Grateful Dead Toured almost constantly throughout the early 1970’s Released two albums in the early 70’s: Wake of the Flood and The Grateful Dead from the Mars Hotel. In the 80’s and 90’s several members died of drug or alcohol related illnesses or overdoses. Disbanded after Jerry Garcia’s death in 1995

Grateful Dead Known for changing their live performances every night. Did not play the same set when on tour. Had solid record sales but were always more about the live performances and that is what made them popular.
