#7 Smash those Apps!
29
What is “App Smashing” ? App Smashing is the process of using multiple apps to create projects and tasks. The process can provide your students with creative ways to showcase their learning while allowing you to assess understanding. By introducing your students to a core of key apps, giving them the parameters of the project, and supporting them as they learn and create, students will soon be “Smashing” in your classroom! http://k12technology.weebly.com/app-smashing.html
30
Reasons you should SMASH! Richard Wells, iPads 4 Schools 1.Demands more from the technology (value for money) 2.Turns the issue of not having a "wonder app" into a positive 3.Removes restrictions to take a topic as far as it can be taken 4.End products are greatly enhanced by the use of multiple apps 5.Lots of creative thinking 6.Often results in more engaged learners 7.Provides great opportunities for collaboration 8.It's fun! Check out some Project Examples! http://k12technology.weebly.com/app-smashing.html
31
Hands-on practice Participants will individually complete a smash apping activity. http://mrandrewsonline.blogspot.com/2013/10/app-smashing-with-tellagami.html App Smashing with Telligami http://mrandrewsonline.blogspot.com/2013/10/app-smashing-with-tellagami.html Step by Step Instructions: http://techtrends4teachers.blogspot.com/2014/08/app-smashing-and- digital-storytelling.html
