There is a need to better detect certain illnesses such as MRSA and lung cancer  Staph bacteria are the number one cause of skin infections in the United States.  Currently MRSA is diagnosed using cell cultures, this process takes a lot of time.  About 221,200 new cases of lung cancer (both small cell and non-small cell).  Lung cancer is diagnosed using a CT scan to detect the tumors and then a biopsy is required to be sure.

There is a need to decrease the pain experienced by patients that undergo (TACE).  35,660 new cases will be diagnosed  About 24,550 people will die of these cancers  The doxorubicin is mixed with nanoparticles, nanoparticles block the blood flow to tumor and drug kills it  Issue is that drug leaks into the tissue and causes pain and nausea  This is a current treatment

6. There is a need to more accurately monitor patients in an MRI.  Currently attach leads and sensors to the patients  These leads and sensors are interfered with by the electromagnetic field  In Vivo is the only company that makes ok products  Any patient under sedation  Blood oxygen, blood pressure, heart rate, CO2
