PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS Display the program requirements, in sequence, in a table format that includes all courses required for completion of the program (core requirements, required or restricted electives, other requirements) subtotal of core units, general education pattern(s) (local, CSU-GE Breadth, or IGETC), number of units for each pattern, and total program units.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS Explain how the program is appropriate to the objectives of the mission of the California Community College system and Glendale Community College. Please also comment on how the program conforms to Glendale Community College’s Master Plan.

TIMELINE step 1: generate idea and complete (draft) title and catalog description, program requirements table, evidence of need, labor market data and local programs in area step 2: meet with faculty curriculum coordinator step 3: complete the rest of application and LAORC forms step 4: division/department approval. Your division should not approve the program unless all of the paperwork has been completed. for CTE programs, the division and department must not approve the program without labor market data and advisory board approval in place. step 5: local approval (C & I, AA, BoT) for CTE programs advisory board approval required prior to local approval step 6 (CTE only): consortium approval step 7; Chancellor’s Office Approval step 8: publish in catalog/award programs to students! Note—you can potentially hedge your bets and get your paperwork submitted prior to division approval but talk to C & I co-chairs to let us know what’s going on before you do this…
