When, Why and How Group Formed? Formed in 2004 GP undertaking a research project where it was stipulated that a patient group was necessary. Initial recruitment was by invite - each partner asked to nominate 2-3 names Letter sent outlining the remit of the Group.

Meetings 3-4 times per year 1230-1400 Practice represented by 2 Partners, PM and Reception Team Manager as a minimum Visiting speakers invited, e.g. Citizen’s Advice, Scottish Health Council, NHS Tayside Chairperson

What has the Group been involved in? Research Project New Premises/upgrade to premises project. Practice Merger 2006 Expanding use of email and internet services New website GMS Contract- complaints review and patient survey feedback, extended hours Training practice- patients panel for 4 th year students Disabled Access/upgrade of toilets

What has the Group been involved in? Protected Learning Time- serious complaint Internet Café Practice Development Plan review Wording of letters e.g. recall letters Twinning with Malawi Change of IT software Car Parking problems Clinical team meetings Practice Newsletter

What's Next? Review of the role of the PAG. Encourage new faces to join. Representative to attend monthly partners’ meeting?
