IVAR IKS - Company owned by 11 municipalities Our basic services are delivery of water, sewage treatment and solid waste handling on behalf of the municipalities. We also deliver additional services within maintenance and planning

Divided responsibility Waste from households collected by 11 municipalities All the household waste is delivered to IVAR IKS IVAR IKS decides treatment for all the waste Commercial waste is generally handled by private companies

Economy The municipalities pays IVAR for delivered quantities Price per fraction (selfcost) Exception –Hazardous waste is priced per inhabitant –Deficit on running recycling stations is paid by the communities

Economy (continue) Municipalities is paid by the inhabitants (tax/duty) Payment cover all the waste handling 300 EUR/ year pr household Exception: A small fee at the man run recycling stations for each visit
