Type of Government Republic – the president is both the head of state and head of government, as well as head of a multi-party system. Country is divided into 26 states, one federal district, and over 5,500 cities.

Legislative Branch Federal Senate – 81 seats, 3 members from each state and the federal district Chamber of Deputies – 513 seats. Elected by proportional representation to serve 4 years terms(based on population of district) No term limits

Judicial Branch Organized in states’ and federal systems with different jurisdictions. Judges must retire at age 70 Judges must have a law degree

Elections President is elected every 4 years. Allowed to run for re-election, 2 term maximum. President chooses his/her own cabinet

Peaceful way to change the government Elections are held ever 4 years so the people can choose to re-elect the current leader or if dissatisfied they can elect someone new.

Do Government Leaders follow the rules I would say yes because the judicial system appears to be set up similar to the United States and so if you commit a crime regardless of position you will be punished.
