Goal to reduce landfill waste by 10%.  Process to achieve target – Employee Engagement driven by the Earth Day Team.  Team consists of employees throughout the organization and drives communication, promotes awareness and education, and strives to engage employees in the EMS.  Team developed plan for hosting HMTC’s sixth annual Earth Day event with a goal to engage everyone at HMTC in the Zero Landfill objective.

9 Corning Optical CommunicationsCorning Public9 Zero Landfill Challenge Introduced: HMTC’s Zero Landfill Challenge – “Think Outside the Dumpster” This challenge is for ALL employees at HMTC –Employees participate with “Zero Landfill Challenge” Submission Form –Recognize employees throughout the year –Environmental Team drives the program.
