Inventory and Manufacturing Process Currently Riordan Manufacturing has a manual inventory and manufacturing process. The seven steps include: Receiving documentation Scheduled orders documentation Orders received documentation Raw materials/sub-assemblies documentation Sub-assembly/final product documentation Sales order form documentation Shipping documentation In addition, data entry clerks are needed to enter the information into the computer system.

Supply Chain Management The management team at Riordan has completed a high-level strategic business initiative to improve its supply chain as a competitive advantage to ensure customer satisfaction. Riordan establishes Supply Chain Management strategy to the new hires in Hangzhou, China. Riordan Industries supply chain management theory starts from the top and flows down to each employee working for the company. Adapting supply chain technology and strategic planning on a global scale will test each employee’s willingness to learn new processes in supply chain efficiency. Riordan Industries incorporates multiple disciplines in supply chain management from using technology to building relationships with external and internal customers.
