Individual feedback and training 3) - Assessment – criterias, coursedesign - Academic supervision – roles, feedback, purpose, phases

The purpose of teaching - help students to develop effective structures of knowledge - stimulate students in scientific thinking - develop framework for understanding

What do we mean by ”learning”? Learning is an individual process Learning provides activity (thinking, investigation,discussion,practice) Learning provide possibilities to link the new knowledge to what you already know Learning strengthens when there is an opportunity to ask questions to the subject matter Learning strengthens when knowledge is put into coherence Learning is stimulated through collaboration (presentation, explainations, clarifying understanding)

Purpose of evaluation Evaluation is considered as part of the learning process, and gives basis for coaching Evaluation gives basis for systematic dialog and follw-up Stimulates students learning and development both professional and socially Motivates for harder work and gives respons due to both process and learning outcome Contributes to good contact between students and teachers Contributes to improvment of education programme

What do we mean by ”supervision”? A systematic discourse using confrontation and support to provide qualified reflection and active investigation

How you can provide feedback A)What is good, right, exiting, original, interesting, clear? B)What is unclear, not defined, unfullfilled C)What have to be improved, endered, what`s missing,

Some purposes of supervision -Contribution to a systematic work -Increase the student`s self-understanding -Support the student`s own ideas -Point out alternatives -Contribute deliminations -Stimulate reflection -Search for justifications -Encourage to planning
