Psychology, Economics, and AP Economics Notebooks! INSTRUCTIONS (Why do we need it?)
2
Step 1: Front Cover Take a 8.5x11” piece of paper and fold it over the front cover so that the edges are on the inside.
3
Step 1: Front Cover
4
Step 2: Create a cover design Using the piece of paper you just folded, create a cover page for your notebook. You may get as creative as you like, however, you MUST include the following: – Your name – Title: Psychology – At least 4 pictures/symbols relating to different parts of Psychology.
5
Step 3: Table of Contents Open your notebook and title the 1 st page “Table of Contents”. Draw three columns going north to south. Label the 1 st “Assignment”. Label the 2 nd “Date”. Label the 3 rd “Page #”. Leave about 3 pages for the Table of Content (for composition books you may need more)
6
Step 4: Rules Place the Rules and Class Policies that you have printed off of my webpage. You can cut the rules and class policies down to fit and then glue or staple them in.
7
Step 5: Bellringers You will place your Bellringers in this part of the notebook. Leave about 5 empty pages to add bellringers as we go; make sure you put the date and topic.
8
Step 6: Notes You will keep your notes here. Any notes that you get, you will staple them into your notebook and if the notes are 2 sided, you will leave one end open. You will also take written notes here.
9
Step 7: Graded Work and Tests As we go along you will add graded work and tests (usually test corrections) to the notebook; you will staple or glue them in depending on if it is one- sided or 2 sided. If you would like you can also keep a folder along with your spiral for your graded work. Make sure to add each assignment and note to the table of contents at the beginning.
10
AP Notebooks Dividers will be in the following order – Bellringers – Notes – Daily Work (Graded) – Quizzes and Tests – FRQ’s Arrange items behind each divider with the oldest things in the front and the most recent things towards the back of divider (old -> new or ascending order) Before the 1 st divider you need to put the classroom policies and procedures you printed off of the internet, and the grade sheet in the front pocket of the notebook or behind the rules. I will tell you what notes you need to print off of my webpage and add to your notes section of your binder.
11
Notebooking Your notebook is now ready to use. As we go from unit to unit, it is your responsibility to make sure that your notebook is updated and organized. Why???? You will receive a MAJOR GRADE on it!
