Backstage at Bayimba Regional Festival of the Art Mbale Coming out of this experience with great respect for the character of many of the locals I met – their willingness to help, pride in their culture, and strength in their abilities. I worked with some people who came from little to nothing in the villages and worked their way to a self-sustaining life in the city. Hearing stories and their motivation was one of the most valuable things I could take away, apart from experiencing such a completely different culture.
