14. Closing Thoughts SkillsUSA has been a part of many programs that I have been involved in at various community colleges. There is not a way to quantify or explain the impact that the small investment of the Perkins funds has had on ECC this year. We have perceived more excitement from students, faculty, staff, the public schools, industry, and the community than any other effort in recent history. It has rejuvenated faculty and improved student involvement. It has generated ideas and boosted program improvement that will motivate us to use Perkins funds in new ways for years to come.
