4 Background: Podcasting @ Nottingham Began November 2006 Aimed at External and Internal audiences Portable audio recording kits with simplified upload workflows [ ~300 staff users & around 2,500 podcasts to date ] Growing demand for user generated content No additional metadata *ID3 [embedding]embedding Need to enhance discoverability Links with JISC Steeple community [RSS aggregation]

16 Some practical tips from the team... Do not to underestimate the time it takes to upload the entire back catalogue of existing podcasts…… Have a clear plan to support the service into the future. Don't start if you don't intend to resource the service on an ongoing basis.
