Each state has some or the other attire that's unique to it. The traditional dress worn by the women are “Ghagra Choli” or “Lehenga Choli”. The traditional attire of Gujarati men is dhoti, that is a long cotton cloth wrapped around the waist, and long or short coat with a turban.

The women traditional wear ‘legengas’ while ‘cholis’ are waist- length blouses which are mostly bare-backed. Men traditionally wear dhoti, like many other Indian states along with a headgear, known as Safa, which is a kind of turban.

The women wear traditional saris. The traditional wear of the men are dhoti or lungi worn in the lower part and ‘angavastra’ that men wrap around the shoulders and is worn with a shirt.
