SHOW WORK!  ______H 2 + _____N 2 →_____ NH 3  How many moles of nitrogen gas, N 2 are needed to react with a starting amount of 4.2 moles of hydrogen gas, H 2 ?

2  We can convert from moles to moles using the chemical equation of a reaction.  We can also convert from grams of one substance to grams of another substance.  This is a three step problem.

3  Step 1: Grams to mols (use molar mass)  Step 2: Mols to Mols (use balanced equation)  Step 3: Mols to Grams (use molar mass)
