9. LTI: what is it? Industry standard proposed by IMS Global Learning Consortium. Allows objects to be “published” and “consumed” across different LMS constructs in a standardized manner. Uses a secure link to an external tool from inside a Tool Consumer. Supports cross platform integration between different online learning environments without costly development and integration. (For example, Moodle and Blackboard or Moodle and Moodle).
