Chemically polluted fish and water itself causes many health issues

4. Causes Of water Pollution
Some causes of water pollutions:
Industrial waste
Agricultural pollution
Sewage
Oil pollution
Airborne pollutants

5. Industrial waste
industries produce highly toxic waste which too often ends up in rivers.
such as the tanneries in south-western part of Dhaka city, most industries discharge liquid waste without treatment.
some factories release toxic chemicals into rivers.

6. Agricultural pollution
Liquid manure (slurry) and pesticides are the greatest agricultural pollutants
Slurry, which contains phosphates, nitrates etc. it causes eutrophication in which the algae overgrow other water plant species.
Increased bacterial activity leads to oxygen reduction which in turn can cause mass fish death.
Pesticides are severely toxic to most terrestrial and aquatic creatures and have the same effect as other hazardous chemicals.

7. Sewage Most of sewage ends up in rivers.
Phosphates and food nutrients from the sewage remain a serious water pollutant
Sewage contains all kinds of toxic chemicals which are flushed down the toilets and drains.
Human waste may contain viruses, bacteria and parasites which often spread into the waters, i.e. cholera etc.

8. Oil pollution Airborne pollutants
poses a constant risk of oil spills.
pouring used car oil into drains or directly into rivers.

Dangerous chemicals released into the air, from kilns used to make bricks for instance, can fall back on earth with rain and pollute the water.
Nitrogen oxides and sulphur oxides released from car exhaust and industries produces acid vapor and fall back as acid rain which imbalances the ph of the rivers water.

Adverse effects of water pollution lead to economic losses in terms of reduced health, reduced agricultural productivity, and low-quality tourism.
There is also economic losses to family income due to the desire for safe bottled water which is more expensive than unbolted water.
When water is polluted, fish and other aquatic resources can perish, which leads to a decline in fisheries production. Erosion from degraded uplands and pollution from silt and sedimentation, as well as untreated sewerage, cause productivity losses in fisheries. Silt and sedimentation are major causes for losses in fishery production.
