3. A little about Mrs. Makiyama... ASU graduate in Elementary Education Worked for CUSD 8 years This is my 3rd year teaching 4th grade at Patterson Lived in for Oregon 29 years I relocated to Chandler in 2006

What we learn in 4th Grade....Study Skills Homework is assigned daily, Monday through Thursday and is due the next day Spelling is a worksheet or student’s choice Math – 1 page front and back Homework completion and daily behavior earn Fun Friday Exception to next day due date! Special Projects Sign up for the Parent Portal to check grades easily!

8. What we learn in 4th Grade....Language Arts The focus of Key Ideas and Details is providing textual evidence and making inferences, identifying theme and literary elements, and summarizing text. 50% Fiction and 50% Non-Fiction
