They create tides that are very high and very low. Waxing gibbous and waning gibbous moons occur during these tides. Other tides that are created, neap tides, result from the sun, earth, and moon at a perpendicular angle from each other. One possible line up is the moon, sun, and the earth. The full moon and the Waning crescent moons occur during neap tides. Furthermore the solar and lunar eclipse can occur during these tides
