Profiles are the basic building blocks of the Opera database for your hotel. They can be simple, with a first and last name only, or complex with preferences, options, billing instructions, interfaces and mailing lists. NOTE: Profiles are different from Reservations because one profile can have multiple reservations and a profile can exist without a reservation, but a reservation cannot exist with out a profile.

INDIVIDUAL PROFILE Profiles are created for a specific guest in the hotel, and contains that guest’s personal information.

INDIVIDUAL PROFILE Preferences: indicate guests’ likes and dislikes and can be used to assist in locating a room at check in. Preferences entered in the profile will apply to every reservation for this guest in future. Memberships: are used to track specific award programs offered at your hotel. Memberships are kept on the profile and generate points every time the guest stays at the Property.

INDIVIDUAL PROFILE Negotiated Rates: Rates can be linked to a profile, usually a travel agent or company to provide the following benefits. Local Corparate Rate International Corporate Rate Family & friends Rack Rate Credit cards: can be attached to profiles for future use. This will eliminate the time needed to repeatedly type the same credit card information into each new reservation.
