Halva Ingredients for the syrup 1 ¾ cup sugar 1 ¾ cup sugar 4 cups water 4 cups water 5 soup spoons rosewater 5 soup spoons rosewater Cinnamon Cinnamon Ingredients for Halva ¾ cup peanut oil ¾ cup peanut oil 2 cups semolina 2 cups semolina For decoration 250g peeled almonds 250g peeled almonds

Bring the almonds to a boil …

And allow time to cool.

Pour the oil into a pot…

Add the semolina flour and put the pot on the stove.

At the same time prepare the syrup as follows: pour the sugar into a small pan, add the water and the cinnamon. Boil until the syrup starts bubbling. Remove from the stove and allow time to cool.

Bring the semolina mixture to a boil, stirring continuously.

Remove the pot from the stove and add the syrup by adding one soup spoon at a time.

And bring back to boil.

Remove from the stove and add the rose water.

Place the mixture in a baking form and refrigerate.

Chop the almonds in slices.

Remove from baking form onto a plate and decorate with the almond slices.
