7 KINDS OF INTELLIGENCE
4
HOWARD GARDNER'S NINE MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES: 1. Linguistic Intelligence: the capacity to use language to express what's on your mind and to understand other people. Any kind of writer, speaker, lawyer, etc. 2. Logical/Mathematical Intelligence: the capacity to understand and use numbers, ex) the way a scientist or a mathematician does. 3. Musical Intelligence: the capacity to think in music; to be able to hear patterns, recognize them, and perhaps manipulate them. People who have strong musical intelligence don't just remember music easily, they can't get it out of their minds, it's so omnipresent. 4. Bodily/Kinesthetic Intelligence: the capacity to use your whole body or parts of your body (your hands, your fingers, your arms) to solve a problem, make something, or put on some kind of production. The most evident examples are people in athletics or the performing arts, particularly dancing or acting.

5. Spatial Intelligence: the ability to deal with space and distance -- the way a sailor or airplane pilot navigates the large spatial world, or a chess player or sculptor 6. Intrapersonal Intelligence: to understand and know oneself, knowing who you are, what you can do, what you want to do, how you react to things, which things to avoid, and which things to gravitate toward. 7. Interpersonal Intelligence: the ability to understand other people. It's an ability we all need, but is especially important for teachers, clinicians, salespersons, or politicians -- anybody who deals with other people.
6
NEWER ONES (YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW THESE) 8. Naturalist Intelligence: the ability to discriminate among living things (plants, animals). This ability was clearly of value in our evolutionary past as hunters, gatherers, and farmers; it continues to be central in such roles as botanist or chef. 9. Existential Intelligence: the ability to pose (and ponder) questions about life, death, and ultimate realities.

CONCLUSION 1.There is a theory called Multiple Intelligences which holds that there are 7 different ways of being intelligent. 2.This theory holds that INTRAPERSONAL & INTERPERSONAL are 2 ways of being intelligent 3.This class (Christian Lifestyles) is primarily concerned with these two kinds of intelligence-- INTRAPERSONAL & INTERPERSONAL
8
INTRAPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE The capacity to understand and know yourself Students with Intrapersonal Intelligence have— An honest, accurate, and comprehensive picture of themselves (their strengths, weaknesses) An awareness of their inner moods, motivations, and desires Self-discipline tendencies Healthy self-esteem
9
INTERPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE The capacity to deal well with others Students with Interpersonal Intelligence have— Sensitivity to facial expressions, gestures, and voice qualities Ability to discriminate among many personal cues and prioritize the degree of intensity of feelings behind these cues Expertise in responding effectively to these cues so as to avoid negative emotions or to inspire people to positive actions.
