©2012 THE ADVISORY BOARD COMPANY ADVISORY.COM Gaining Provider Feedback In February – March 2014, we administered a medical staff survey to employed & LMG providers, independent active providers and courtesy & affiliate providers at Legacy Health. Your feedback is critical to helping us make Legacy Health a best-in-class place for providers to practice medicine. Thanks to your commitment and willingness to provide your opinion, we were able to surpass our 2012 medical staff survey response rate by 3.5% and collect data from 1,199 providers. 2014 Medical Staff Engagement Survey Results Survey Solutions Physician Engagement Overall Engagement Relative to Physician Engagement Survey Benchmark Engagement Profile Legacy Health has focused on addressing provider feedback from the 2012 survey. ©2012 THE ADVISORY BOARD COMPANY ADVISORY.COM Participation Legacy’s leadership team, in conjunction with the Advisory Board, conducted extensive analyses on the data to identify the prevalence of system-wide opportunities for improvement across major respondent groups. Consideration was also placed on available resources, current efforts underway, and strategic priorities. Based on these analyses, Legacy Health’s administrative and medical staff leadership have decided to focus provider engagement efforts on the three priority areas listed below: Where are we focusing our efforts? Implement strategies for widespread physician engagement and input into the next phase of developing Legacy Health Partners Expand opportunities for physician participation in strategic planning Proactively identify and promote clinical and operational process improvement opportunities Education Develop new physician leadership academy courses based on feedback from medical staff Enhance educational curriculum to support physicians interested in leadership roles and those new to their roles (e.g. MEC members, Legacy Health Partners board & work group leaders) Create educational opportunities that can be strategic differentiators (e.g. performance excellence, cultural competence, etc.) Communication Develop Physician-Administration Compact Enhance and customize eDocTalk to meet a variety of audience needs Create a physician portal that serves as a ‘one stop’ for crucial industry, organization and clinical information Support existing and new efforts to increase communication between providers (site-based interdisciplinary events, targeted outreach) Questions?
